WATERBOX was founded by two Adelaideans who identified growing consumer demand for sustainably-packaged, locally-sourced products that made a lower impact on the environment. After years of exploring, sourcing, research, and sampling springs, they finally settled on a source. They also decided to package the water in a plant-based carton, devoid of petroleum oil.

WATERBOX cartons are made from plant-based materials, giving them the lowest CO2 footprints of all beverage packaging in Australia. The cartons are ten times lighter than glass bottles and WATERBOX has up to 40% less impact on climate change than traditional bottled water across its life cycle. The cartons are made from renewable materials, including sugarcane and wood fibre.

WATERBOX is 100% Australian pH8 natural spring water, locally sourced from an inactive volcano 700m above sea level in Ballarat, Victoria. The water is naturally high in minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, and silica. Its taste is smooth and pure.
